We've reviewed every kind of TV over the years, from the first flat-screens through the original OLEDs right up to today's best 85-inch TVs. And that means we know what features really matter and what features will deliver the most bang for your TV-buying buck. No matter how much you want to spend, what you want to watch or where you want to watch it, you should find the best TV for you in the guide below.
So why is it all the way down here in our top TVs list? The short answer: the smart TV interface. While the hardware here is wonderful, we're less impressed by the new Smart Hub UI. Samsung's attempts to make the system better at recommending content and apps has the unfortunate side-effect of making everyday tasks such as quickly adjusting picture settings more complex. What used to take a couple of quick button presses now means quitting what you're watching to go and wade through menus. It's a minor issue and we're sure Samsung will take the criticism on board for a future software update, but for now it takes the shine of an otherwise excellent 8K TV.
This is no ordinary OLED. It's a quantum dot OLED, which delivers even better brightness than a typical OLED panel. The specification is impressive too. As we said in our review, "we're looking a TV that has had the kitchen sink thrown at it, with Samsung's latest AI-inspired picture processor, a massively comprehensive and re-designed Tizen-based smart system, the latest gaming features, and even, despite the ultra-slim design, a clever object tracking sound audio system".
The picture's so good that we're almost willing to overlook Samsung's redesigned smart TV interface, which feels very much like a backwards step: the menu navigation is often confusing and the interface is laggy at first, which you don't expect from a TV in this price bracket. But these are relatively minor flaws in a very impressive TV that outperforms many rival OLED displays.
If features and functions are what you're looking for, consider the Samsung 28-Inch HD LED TV. This smart TV is excellent for viewing all of your favorite news channels and sports apps. Featuring LED technology, its display delivers bright images and high contrast. The display has HD resolution, which ensures enhanced detail definition for better picture clarity. This Samsung TV has Motion Rate 60, which will deliver incredible image clarity and smooth movement.
Why opt for something smaller than, say, 55 inches? The smallest smart TVs are the perfect size for guest rooms, kitchens, dorm rooms and bedrooms, although at the top end of the size scale they could easily work as your primary TV, too.
Unlike larger TVs, don't be afraid to sit close to a small smart TV. To see the maximum amount of details (about 3.5 feet or closer would be ideal, according to our What size TV should you buy? guide) so be sure to scootch up.
Every TV here has been thoroughly tested by the Tom's Guide team, with each set undergoing a rigorous series of evaluations for color accuracy and reproduction, lag time and brightness. So you can buy sure that when you buy one of the smallest smart TVs you really are making a quality purchase.
The Toshiba C350 Fire TV is the 2021 addition to the small family of Amazon-powered smart TVs, offering good features and decent performance for its extremely affordable price. Our review found it to be a decent example of the Fire TV template, combining good-enough 4K picture quality, impressively short lag times, and Amazon's great Fire TV smart features, like built-in Alexa voice control, a pretty big app store and (of course) an interface that puts Amazon's Prime Video service front and center. With even the largest 55-inch model selling for less than $500 (and likely much less during sales events), it's one of the smartest affordable TVs you can get.
But the Q60T costs several hundred more than the TCL 4 Series, and while it has a good picture, there are some flaws. This model has a slower processor and lower refresh rate than previous versions, which resulted in some blurring during fast motion scenes. Its color accuracy was also below other QLED sets. But if you want one of the best screens in a 43-inch TV, the Q60T is the one for you.
And there's more to today's TVs than just viewing, so we also check out the smart TV functions and evaluate everything from the interface to the remote control design. This lets our reviews speak to the technical capabilities of today's smart TVs and how they fit into your connected home.
A 4K TV often goes with a price premium due to its high image quality and smart features. For those who already have the streaming device and are unable to afford a costly product, then consider a 28 inch TV with no smart features.
For those who want a small TV less expensive, take the Roku-powered TCL S305 into consideration. You may want to check out TLC 32S305 model, the best 32 inch TV, if the 28 inch does not meet your expectation.
The LG 28LJ4540 has one HDMI port, and a 28-inch 720p LED screen producing excellent picture quality. LED Backlighting of the manufacturer gives off exceptional brightness and stunning image clarity. The colors in each scenario look more natural, richer and deeper in contrast, providing you a real, lifelike feeling.
Thanks to a very stunning LED screen, Samsung UN28H4500 720p 60Hz smart TV enables to deliver amazing picture frames in high quality without displaying any flaw, dark spot, or grey area. This explains why many movie and sports fans feel satisfied with the UN28H4500 model.
Then I recommend you to consider the VIZIO E-Series 28 inch; this is a good, affordable TV that every family must have for their living room. With innovative features, it delivers incredible beauty and clarity in every pixel.

On the remote control of your LG smart TV, press the Home button and select LG Content Store. Go to Apps > search for, then select HBO Max > Install > Launch. You'll need to enter your account details or set up an HBO Max subscription.
Cheap monitors used to be limited to panel sizes of 19 or 21 inches, but today, no one should have to settle on a desktop panel at that small a size without specific reason. That is because for less than $200 (and, in some cases, considerably less), you can get a general-purpose monitor with a high-quality if moderate-size (generally 24-inch, sometimes 27-inch) screen, with a native resolution that is reasonable for the panel size. Usually that is 1080p at these screen sizes. (More on that in a moment.) The "budget" category for 4K panels and gaming-specific panels starts higher than $200, however (around $300 and $250, respectively).
Measure the height, depth and width of your space. Will you be using the stands included in the TV or will you be mounting it on the wall? If you want to fit an existing entertainment center, make sure you have at least an inch on the sides and top of the TV cavity to allow for ventilation.
Many models in a particular sizing category -- such as 55 inches, 65 inches, etc., -- are not strictly the size in which they are labeled. The viewable display size is sometimes a little smaller or even a little bigger than the category it is in. The differences tend to be less than an inch either way and are usually within round-up distance of the appropriate size. For example, a 50-inch TCL 4-Series TV has a 49.5-inch viewable display. And the side of the bezel, or frame around the screen itself on the top, bottom and sides, also varies somewhat.
Note that the width of even the largest-size TV is just about 10 inches less than the stated diagonal screen size. This means that you could get a 75-inch screen while only needing roughly 66 inches of space.
While 32-inch monitors aren't as common as 27-inch monitors, they're growing in popularity and availability as many offer the same great features found on other sizes, including advanced gaming features like FreeSync, high-resolution 4k screens, and, more recently, HDR and HDMI 2.1 support. More premium 32-inch monitors are coming out now with the latest technology, but you can find 32-inch monitors in various resolutions and for a variety of uses and budgets.
We've bought and tested over 265 monitors, and below you'll find our top picks for the best monitors that are available to buy in a 32-inch size. If you're interested in other sizes, see our recommendations for the best 24-25-inch monitors, the best 27-inch monitors, and the best 34-49 inch monitors.
The best 32-inch monitor we've tested is the Samsung Odyssey Neo G8 S32BG85. It's an excellent high-end monitor, and while it can be costly, it offers a ton of features and provides better performance than less-expensive models, and if you're looking for the best 32-inch gaming monitor, you'll be pleased with this one too. Its 4k resolution lets you see more details in your game at once, and the 240Hz refresh rate makes it future-proof when technology supports 4k @ 240Hz games. Until then, you can still enjoy it at lower refresh rates with a 4k resolution. Its excellent response time makes motion look smooth, which is ideal for gaming. 041b061a72
